Tab’s journey in Pilates began with a personal mission—to create the space she wished existed when she first started. As a Black woman in the industry, she didn’t see a lot of people who looked like her, and she recognized the need for a more inclusive, welcoming Pilates community. Instead of waiting for that space to appear, she built it herself.
At TabPilates, we are committed to diversity, accessibility, and representation. We believe that Pilates is for every body, regardless of background, experience, or ability. Our goal is to ensure that everyone feels seen, supported, and empowered in their movement journey.

Tab is a Master Instructor for Balanced Body, a board member of the National Pilates Certification Program, and a leader in Pilates education with over 30 years of experience. With a Master’s in Education and a background as a professional dancer, she brings a deep understanding of movement, anatomy, and instruction.
Tab's journey in Pilates combines classical foundations with modern innovations, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them to teach confidently and effectively. As the owner of TabPilates & Bodyworks Center, she has spent over 15 years helping instructors and clients achieve their goals through high-quality training and mentorship.
